Camouflage has always remained a symbol of military identity. But over the years, this concept of camouflage has become a reoccurring pattern in modern culture, but you usually see it in mostly fashion and art.  It has been used for anti-war protesters, musicians and has inspired artists and designers. Millions have worn it, but the statement that it creates is that it is not meant to blend in but to stand out.

One influential and respected designer; Jean Paul Gautier has created camouflage ball gown, which was showcased at Paris Fashion Week in 2007. He caused quite a stir with this extravagant chiffon gown.
